St Paul and the Broken Bones @ Bellweather Theater
I almost hate to give away this amazing show venue, but the Bellweather is one of a kind. The 45,000-square-foot Bellwether is the only independently promoted venue of its size in the city and is tucked deep in DTLA. Previously know as the Glam Slam, owned none other than Prince. Anyway, back to SPBB. They were amazing and this was just the right sized venue to see them in. This was the third time seeing them and each time they downsized, from Hollywood Bowl to the Ace to the Bellweather. By far the best sound and distance to the stage. Best performance still goes to St. Paul and the Broken Bones at the Hollywood Bowl 8/31/17
The Broken Bones at the Colonial Theatre October 5th
Perfect venue for Paul Janeway and the Broken Bones to show their immense talent.I thought it was interesting that their was a bit more focus on each band member consisting of solos and long jams while Janeway went off stage.I don’t remember that as much in the other shows I’ve been to.Although I would of liked a few more songs, they showed why they are adored by fans due to Janeway’s hauntingly beautiful lyrics and voice and it’s tremendous musicians. Who doesn’t love a horn section!
