I went to see Alison at Foxwoods on 9/7 and her show was simply amazing. A little too much gospel for me but I stilled loved it. She played some of her favorites, hit all the notes and blew me away. No one was asking where was Willy Nelson.
The last time I saw Alison was at the Ryan Center, she blew me away there too. I walked away from URI saying that was a lesson in Bluegrass.
Thank-you Alison, come back again soon. -jm

ETHEREAL
The show at the Wagner Noel was sublime. From the sparse opening of River in the Rain
through some of her best pieces, Alison and her supporting band were in extremely fine
form. There was little banter with the audience; the sound mix on her violin was off, such
that it was inaudible about half the time; the show was barely 90 minutes, when two
hours would have been greatly appreciated. But all of that is quibbling. Ms. Krauss' voice
is, really, the reason everyone was there, and it did not disappoint in the slightest.
Truly the voice of an angel, and yes, as others have said, it brought me to tears. And
closer to God.

WORTH EVERY CENT!
I could have lived without the opening act, but
Allison and her musicians were amazing!!!!

ONE OF MY TOP 5 CONCERTS OF ALL TIME
From the very first note, it was apparent why Alison Krauss has been awarded the most
Grammy awards of any singer. Her vocal clarity and control is simply beyond measure.
Although her performance style is underplayed and not showy, she had the audience
hanging on with attention for the full 90 minutes. Alison's on-stage persona is very warm
and humorous, but she did not waste a lot of time with small talk, moving through a vast
repertoire of new and old material. Musicianship was outstanding by all of the Cox family
and 3 of her Union Station veterans. The venue was The Sony Centre in Toronto Ontario
and our seats were 2 or 3 rows from the very back of the balcony. We found the concert
mix to be incredibly full frequency and clear. I am not easily pleased as I have had a
career in professional audio, and I must say it was one of the most enjoyable concert
experiences of my life. Many thanks the the 2018 Toronto Jazz Festival for including her in
this wonderful annual event.

ALLISON KRAUSS
To the reviewer who was underwhelmed, yes I think you were the only one and I felt like "the lucky one".
A wonderful live performance of professional singers and musicians.
Maybe you were expecting studio versions where there are retakes and editing to create perfection.
I thoroughly enjoyed Allsion's performance and was moved to tears with the voice, music, and the Berkshire aura. The warm up band was wonderful too. I had great seats and was not on the lawn.
Looking forward to Emmy lou Harris

ANGELIC VOICE FILLS BENEDUM
An Angel did fly close to Pittsburgh ground last
night...stopping at the Benedum for a
wonderful 90 plus minute show of excellent
harmonies and musicianship. Alison was
joined by Ron Block and Bruce Bales from
Union Station, as well as members of the Cox
family and gave us a remarkable and
memorable night. Her voice truly is angelic,
and she graced us with a wonderful
performance.

CLASSIC THEATER/ ATHENS GEORGIA
Attended the October 15th concert at the Classic Theatre in Athens Georgia. Although not held in Houston Texas, nonetheless the concert featured Alison Krauss and her excellent backing musicians. Held in a 2,000 seat venue, the 90 minutes show was superb and nearly flawless. Her vocals as usual were exemplary and “angelic “ She is blessed with pitch perfect tones and smoothness. Her delivery is so pure and her vocal range is impeccable. She glides through the classics and originals with ease. She has a way with “spiritual “ gospel songs that comes from her heart. She is truly a national treasure and someone who if you’re given a chance, by all means please go see her in concert in a town near you. You won’t be disappointed. In my opinion, she is not only a talented performer but a genuine humble sweet person who makes you feel warm in your heart with her music and personality. Alison Krauss is the real deal ❤️

ALISON KRAUSE SUGAR LAND CONCERT
It was wonderful to finally see her sing live. I will go again if she comes
back. But I was a bit disappointed with her song selection. She short
changed some of her best songs and didn't sing others. She sang a lot
of B songs. Not sure why. But she could sing wheels on the bus and
I'd pay to listen to it. lol. I give it 4 stars.

TALENTED
Alison Krauss has a lovely voice.....no doubt about that. I found the concert sort of flat though. She didn't engage the audience very much and when she did talk, it was hard to hear her. I was disappointed with so many religious numbers with the Cox Family. There must have been at least 5 or 6 songs at the end of the concert. Bit of an overload I think. I would have preferred Union Station to be performing with her. Too bad they weren't there. All in all, not a bad experience. Probably wouldn't see her again.

UNDERWHELMED
Am I the only one who thought Alison’s Ravinia show was
underwhelming? Very little energy, very little attempt to engage or
excite the audience, she missed lots of high notes, and was flat on
many notes. We were on the lawn with good view of the screen, and
the sound was good enough, but not a show I would recommend.
Plenty of assistance at the park to answer any questions we had.
Alison did not deliver, in our opinion

BAD SOUND - BEAUTIFUL VOICE
Although Alison's voice was like that of an angel and the harmonies were delicious the sound was very distracting. I was sitting straight in front of Alison's microphone, smack in the middle of the Anthem and her voice was coming from way to the right of the stage. Closing my eyes she was singing from almost off the stage to the right and about 15 feet up. Whether it was the venue's speakers or the mixing board we will never know, but it was a shame. In contrast, David Byrne's performance was spectacular at the Anthem about a month prior while sitting in floor seats just about 5 rows closer to the stage.

THE COX FAMILY
Very disappointing show. Loved her recent CD
Windy City and her work with Robert Plant.
This show was like a revival. She allowed the
brother and sister//the cox family—to
dominate the concert.
