CHRISSIE HYNDE AND THE PRETENDERS
Incredible performance at such a very small an intimate amphitheater! Despite some early and minor sound engineering issues with the lead guitar - the overall performance was spot on, very clean sound and the band put on a flawless performance. Chrissie Hynde's voice was pure, powerful and same as she sang in the late 70's. The band's overall performance could not have been any better!

THE PRETENDERS SAN FRANCISCO MASONIC - 6.22.18
I've probably seen around 500 shows in my life, and this is in the top 10 - maybe the
top 5. This was the first stop of the NA tour, and Chrissie Hynde danced out - a
slouch with arms swaying and fingers snapping. They started and didn't stop, ripping
through the old, the new, and the unexpected. I love the relationship between
Hynde and Martin Chambers. He was going too long on a drum solo - leading into
Middle Of The Road, and she turned around and yelled, "Are you alright?!" He
stopped, pushed over the snare, and they shredded the song. I love this version of
the band, and she was in incredible form. If you are lucky enough to have the chance
to see this - take it.

10 STAR PERFORMANCE BY THE PRETENDERS
Incredible performance. Christie Hynde never sounded better, hard as
nails persona with a velvet voice, only drawback were the immature
adults that insisted on using their cellphones despite being told
repeatedly not to.

NEVER SAW THEM BETTER
My 4th X seeing the Pretenders (first 2X @The Tower in the 1980s, 3rd time @ElectricFactory about 7 or 8 years ago). I do not recall them putting on a better performance than on 3/31.
I thought CH was extra into it and the band was magnificent. Nothing like Martin Chambers on drums. Also loved they did two encores.
She was in great voice, sold out crowd really digging everything.
Getting to The Tower and finding parking readily is indeed a challenge but the payoff of the show (including a fine opening act) made it more than worth it.
Did not eat in neighborhood.
Our seats (4th row Loge) and view were excellent. The acoustics for the music were very good but I could not hear CH's spoken words (or those of the lead Singer of the Opening act) at all.
Overall this show made me want to get back to The Tower soon and to see these icons perform for the 5th X some day.

THE PRETENDERS ROCK THE ORPHEUM.
Wine isn't the only thing hat gets better with
age. There is no substitute for musicianship
and heart. Chrissie Hynde has that times
100!. They looked cool confident and
genuine up there. I will say more when I
come down the cloud I'm still on. Thank you
Pretenders, kick ass.

INCREDIBLE CONCERT
The Pretenders concert in Boston last night was incredible. I knew it
would be great, but it exceeded all expectation.
Chrissy’s voice is still as rich and strong as ever. The lead guitarist
really was fabulous!
Orpheum is a great venue to see a show like this. Great acoustics and
just the right size.
