Todd Rungren at Charleston Music Hall
Absolutely fantastic show!
Todd & his band were tight yet loose. They were perfectly synchronized with each other. Clearly very talented musicians with Todd firmly in control.
He truly appeared to be having a blast, dancing and goofing off while his voice was rich, clear and full of resonance.
The songs were very cool and ones I'd like very much to hear again. The lyrics were extremely introspective yet had a great hook.
Some were laugh out loud clever making you Crack up. One joked about knuckles dragging the floor and my favorite of the night about getting up too quickly.
We thoroughly enjoyed his last visit to this venue (our favorite in town) but this one was even more enjoyable.
Here's to hoping he enjoyed it and might come again.

I have seen Todd in concert over 20 times and this one was one of his most inspiring performances. No monologue, no political statements: just straight ahead song after song bouncing from genre to genre in a fashion unfamiliar to mere mortals of pop music.
